Two ladies and a palm tree

I'm guessing that these two ladies were in Florida and this picture was taken almost 60 years go. I wish I knew their names.

If you can identify any of the people or locations in these photos, just post a comment and let me know.

When you have scrolled down several pictures, click on "older posts" and you can see some more. There are more than two dozen pictures in all.

Checking the Corn

My guess is that this is a mother and son inspecting the corn crop. Do you know them? Hit comments and tell us who they are.

Stylish Lady

About 1950, this was style. Sure wish I knew who was standing by the pool.

Two Bathing Beauties

If you know either or both, just click on comments and introduce us.

Woman in Surf

This was a very small image, so I brought it in as close as I could. But who is that standing in the ocean? Which ocean? Beats me. They all look alike.

Kid on a Blanket

Who is this kid?

Swim Suit and High Heels

Who wears high heels with a swimsuit?

Paris

Whoever they are, they were in Paris in Paris in June of 1966. This is a Polaroid picture.
If you get to the bottom and see "Older Posts" click on it and you can see some more of this stuff.

Mike? Is that Mike?

Baby in Stroller

What is this kid thinking? "Is this thing a stroller or a barbarque grill?"
Whatever he is thinking, I don't know who he is. Or even if he is a he.
If you know, click "comments" and tell the rest of us.

Reading to the Baby

My guess is that big brother is reading to little sister and she is really getting into the story. But I don't know who they are. A clue on the back of the photo says, "Marshall's Birthday, Jan. 12, 1950."

Is it Pat?

For some reason, the name "Pat" jumps into my head when I see this lady. I know a lot of Pats, but this is not one of them. Who is she?

A Large Church

Lots of stuff in this picture. The large church, a late 1920's car, several people, and some signs. I can't read the signs, but the car looks like a '27 Chrysler. Could that be Grandpa Murrill? He was a big man, often dressed in white, and liked being photographed in front of a church. Does the church look familiar? I wonder where it is.

Click the picture to enlarge it.

Dorm Room

It looks like a dorm room to me, but beyond that, I have no explanation. I wonder who those people are?

An Impressive Building

Nice building. Could it be a school? I wonder where it is. If you know, click "comments" and share the information.

Older Posts

If you get down to the bottom and it says "Older Posts," just click on that and you can see the rest of this mysterious group of pictures.

Lady on a cot.

This is from an old Polaroid picture.
But who is it?

Group Shot

Who are these kids?
Is that a couple of adults in the background? They might be teachers or parents. I don't see anybody I know, but I already like the kid in the lower right with the clinched fists.

Doris

In the corner, it says "With Love, Doris." But who is Doris?

The Sun Was in Their Eyes

These two squinting girls must be sisters. If you know who they are, just punch "coments" and let us know.

Someone I forgot?

I don't know who this is. Could he be someone I knew, but forgot?

Mystery Woman and the Birdbath

I don't remember the Mystery Woman, and I don't think I've ever seen that birdbath.

Meredith

Someone wrote "Meredith 1949," on this, but it isn't Meredith Clay Murrill and it isn't Meredith McCulloch.

And who is the kid?

Is the toe at left a clue? I don't think I have ever been in this room.

Katy Bishop

On the back of the picture, it says "Katy Bishop (15)." Do you know Katy Bishop?

The War Years?

This picture is not very clear, but two of the men appear to be in Uniform. It could be World War II.

Under a Live Oak Tree

This is a whopper of a tree. Who is that lady? The sign seems to be numbers without words.

A Graduate

Somebody just graduated from college. But who? Are those his parents? Who are they. Do the clothes suggest when the picture was made? What do you think?

A tourist court

Before we had motels, there were "tourist courts" made up of cabins. This lady and the car may be in some other pictures below. Could this be South Carolina? I can't read the license plate.

Could this be a wedding?

I don't know any of these people. The man in front is playing a violin. The boy at left is wearing a tux. I think that car is in another picture. I wonder who the ladies on the walkway are?

Woman on Bicycle

Who is this lady? She could be Mary, my Uncle Winston's wife.
